- Who we are
ARM has extensive experience in all aspects of environmental site assessment and remediation, including field services. These services may be grouped into the following categories:
Field services are generally performed to identify the environmental hazards posed by a potential contaminant source on a property, especially if that property has previously been used for industrial purposes. State and federal governments also regulate the inspection of properties for many types of hazards, especially before the transfer of property. Many lenders also require certain assessments before they will approve a loan. In other cases, a property owner may simply suspect the presence of a hazard to workers.
ARM field technicians have all the training needed to do their jobs safely and effectively, including general and specialized training. All of our technicians are certified in OSHA training such as fall protection, respiratory protection, hazardous materials handling. In addition, they receive hands-on training as needed for calibrating, maintaining, and operating our sampling, drilling, vacuum, site monitoring and remediation equipment.
Our technicians also have specific certifications for their duties. For example, our coatings inspectors are certified by the National Association of Corrosion Engineers. They’re also certified as coatings specialists by the Society for Protective Coatings. An additional example pertains to ARM’s well drillers, who are state-certified for this task in both North Carolina and South Carolina. The drilling crews and field technicians are all OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certified, have all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection, and are in compliance with ARM’s corporate Health and Safety Plan.
